Looking Up

Looking Up

Last Sunday was warm and dry, a perfect day for a photography hike. I was wandering around Liberty Reservoir mostly looking down. I had put a polarizer on my lens knowing that the filter combined with the atmospheric dryness would yield rich, dark blues. As I roamed, I happened quite by accident (or fortune) to look up while in a grove of tall pines. There, above me, were stars created by the late afternoon light radiating off of the needles high above. It's moments like this that are the reason I enjoy nature, photography, and hiking. I hope this photograph entitled "Looking Up" brings a smile to your face too.

Best wishes,
